Chi-Town Destination...The Pier. Pier Pale Ale has been carefully formulated and zealously taste-tested to surpass even the highest of expectations. This handcrafted beer opens with bright perky high notes of maltiness and segues into a delectable hoppiness to delight the taste buds of craft beer enthusiasts. This pale ale was brewed with ever-so-slight modifications in persistent pursuit of the perfect balance of taste and finish that stands near the loyal and humble people of Chicago. The result is a delicious Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate to create this truly classic American Pale Ale.

Aroma: Moderate hop aroma from dry hopping and late kettle additions of hop varieties that provides a slight citrusy hop character. Low to moderate maltiness supports the hop presentation. Clean, with no diacetyl.

Appearance: Golden to amber in color. Moderately large white to off white head with good retention. Generally quite clear, although dry hopping exudes a slight haze.

Flavor: Pier Pale Ale is brewed with generous quantities of premium Cascade hops that gives the Pale Ale its fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor. A moderate hop flavor, showing a slight citrusy hop character. Low to moderately high clean malt character supports the hop presentation. Moderate hop bitterness with a medium to dry finish. The balance is typically towards the late hops and bitterness, but the malty undertone balances this pale ale for a clean crisp finish. No diacetyl is present.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body. Carbonation moderate to high. Overall smooth finish without astringency with moderate hopping rates. Overall impression is a refreshing and hoppy, yet with sufficient supporting malt presence balances this pale ale for a clean crisp finish.
