Amnesiac
Informações
Uh, we forget...Oh Yeah, this is a big beer. Mind blowing amounts of hops give this beer tons of flavour and aroma. Not for the faint of heart. The bigger, meaner cousin to the Hop Circle IPA. Alcohol 8.5% Size 650ml CSPC +172163 Pair with: smoked brisket, grilled lamb, Gorgonzola or Cambozola cheeses Silver 2007, Bronze 2005, Canadian Brewing Silver ande Bronze Awards. Provincial Taste In the July 16 issue of the Province, said paper’s Wine Guy James Nevison takes a break from the grapes and “riffs down the IPA aisle” stacking Phillips Amnesiac against Granville Island and Central City’s IPAs. Here’s what Nevison has to say. . . “Of course, if you’re a serious hop head looking for maximum IBU (International Bitterness Units), your IPA quest should lead you to Phillips’ Amnesiac Double IPA. As the Victoria-based brewery boasts on the bottle, a “mind-blowing amount of hops . . . ” went into this beer. The result is a hugely aromatic head buoyed by a malty underlay. This 8.5 percent ABV monster bites the tastebuds up front and keeps the intensity throughout, but thankfully manages to end nicely rich—and lingeringly smooth. Bottom line: A-. A sipping brew.”
